Founded in 2008 by two longtime friends, Premier Benefit Consultants began as a small boutique agency. Today, we are Hawaii’s largest Medicare insurance agency, with over 100 professional, knowledgeable, and caring agents ready to assist clients statewide.

We started the business out of a desire to help our kupuna get the best Medicare insurance coverage for their needs and lifestyles. The need that we saw 17 years ago was that most Medicare agents in Hawaii only represented one product even though there were three or four. We worked really hard to contract with all of those products in order to act as a “one-stop shop” and be able to recommend the right product for each client without bias.

 

Our founders, Michael Lum and Shawn Nakano, both came to the business with sales backgrounds and many years of volunteering for the Lions Club and the church. When they found out that there was a way to open a business that would help kupuna at no cost to them; the two knew they had found the right fit.

 

They are happy to be able to help seniors sign up for a federal program that makes a positive difference in their lives.
