Get to know Linda

As a Premier Benefit Consultant agent Linda Char is here to help you understand all of your health insurance options and to provide excellent ongoing service once she assists you to enroll into the plan of your choice.  Linda offers guidance for individuals with existing Medicare health plans, those new to Medicare as well as those preparing to retire and transition from employer based health coverage to individual coverage.  Phone or video conferencing consultations are available by appointment and free of charge.  Whether you are a Medicare beneficiary, employer, physician, guardian or anyone looking to understand the complexities of Medicare, contact Linda and she will gladly assist you.

Linda was raised in Honolulu, attending University High School and then UH Manoa, graduating with a degree in business. She lives in East Honolulu and is so grateful for the beauty and blessings of Hawaii as her home. She is a mom to one adult son, a wife, and has the privilege of living with and caring for her own dad, still healthy and active at 99. Through this experience of living with and caring for loved ones across generations, and recognizing the skill set developed over her lifetime, Linda found a desire to expand her knowledge into a profession where she could specifically help kupuna and those enrolled in Medicare to successfully navigate through and make the best possible choices.

 

Linda genuinely cares and wants to help each person make the best decision for their individual needs, and also wants to be there for each client if and as things change along the way. With so many Medicare options and so much to know and coordinate, the goal is to help each person get the information and resources they need to make the process as easy and comfortable as possible.

Prior to Medicare, Linda worked for over 20 years in the mortgage industry here in Hawaii, helping countless families and individuals to achieve their real estate goals and dreams. During these years, Linda found the most rewarding aspect of her profession was to be a wholistic listener - helping her clients leverage what for most people is one of the largest financial decisions of their life with purpose and clarity, to build security and wealth. To do this, Linda learned to meet each borrower exactly where they are, pay careful attention, and ask the right questions to help each client feel secure, comfortable, and confident in their mortgage decisions.  She is now using these same skills and approach to assist Medicare beneficiaries to find the right fit for themselves.

 

When Linda isn’t working, she enjoys pickle ball, movies with her movie group, exercise classes at the Y, time outdoors, eating yummy foods, and spending time with her family, friends and beloved kitty, Cupcake. Linda also loves to bake and especially enjoys making mango bread if the tree is being generous in summer, and giving away most of what is baked so she doesn't eat it!
