Get to know Catherine

As a Premier Benefit Consultant agent, Catherine Jay is here to help you understand all of your health insurance options and to provide excellent ongoing service once she assists you to enroll into the plan of your choice.  Catherine offers guidance for individuals with existing Medicare health plans, those new to Medicare as well as those preparing to retire and transition from employer based health coverage to individual coverage.  Phone or video conferencing consultations are available by appointment and free of charge.  Whether you are a Medicare beneficiary, employer, physician, guardian or anyone looking to understand the complexities of Medicare, contact Catherine and she will gladly assist you. 

 

Catherine Kobayashi-Jay was born in Honolulu and raised in Lahaina, Maui.  She attended
Lahainaluna Highschool and graduated with honors in 1992.  After high school she attended the
University of Nevada, Las Vegas where she received Deans list honors.  She then transferred to
the University of Hawaii where she graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in
Marketing.

Catherine spent many years in the hospitality industry on Maui.  After working in hotel
management she discovered that her true passion was helping others.  She decided to go into
her mother’s profession and became a licensed insurance agent.  Catherine immediately
discovered that this was the ideal career because she is really able to make a significant
difference in the lives of Medicare beneficiaries.  She enjoys the personal connection she makes with each
client and loves being able to help understand the complex subject of Medicare and help them
every step of the way in their decision based on individual needs and circumstances.

Catherine speaks fluent Japanese and enjoys doing Japanese cultural activities.  In her free
time she enjoys outdoor activities and most of all spending time with her son and husband.
